1589 Hotels Covid-19 update: Your safety is our priority!

As a precious guest of 1589 Group of Hotels, we welcome you back to our hotels around the country and appreciate your loyalty and trust towards us.

Recognising the uncertainty associated towards the on-going global pandemic, our highest priority is the safety of our guests and employees. Consisting of in-house and outside experts of food & water safety, hygiene and infection prevention, and hotel operations, our 1589 Hotel Cleanliness Department has come-up with new cleaning and safety standards.

To ensure all standards and protocols are adhered to, each hotel has a dedicated Hygiene and Safety manager.

Our guests have been extremely appreciative of the measures we are taking for their safety.

Equally our colleagues have welcomed these initiatives, with none of our team members testing positive for COVID-19.

  • All touch points in public areas like door handles, elevator buttons, counter tops, table tops, railings etc. are cleaned continuously using a sanitiser / disinfectant.
  • Sprayer with professionally identified chemicals are being used to disinfect the hotel entrances, employee entrances, as well as various public areas.
  • Restaurants & Lobby seating have been configured to ensure safe distances between the guests.
  • Temperature readings of residents / non-resident guests are taken at the entrance of the hotel.
  • A guest check-in self-declaration form is in place which cover Covid-19 symptoms.
  • Medical assistance and medical examination is provided immediately if any parameters of our guest and employees is not normal.
  • Detailed Standard Operating Procedures are in place in case of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis where a guest or a colleague needs to be quarantined.
  • Masks and disposable gloves are being worn by all team members at all times and changed frequently. Housekeeping staff use fresh gloves for every room they service.
  • For the safety of our guests, rooms will be sanitised after guest check-out, kept vacant for 24 hours and then allocated.
  • Protocols are in place for staff in the kitchens, restaurants, in-room dining, business centres and banquet halls to sanitise their hands.
  • Correctly formulated hand sanitiser are in place in all guest rooms at all public spaces.
